~~Spring Has Sprung~~ You know I think Spring has sprung I heard a whippoorwill Way back up in the holler And high upon the hill The hoot owl calling to his mate The robin’s songs are sung There’s romance in the air you know Now that spring has sprung The tree frogs holler long and loud The hummin birds come near It makes a feller want to dance Sing a song and cheer Bunnies hoppin all around Deer roaming with their young All us hillbillies ‘ happy now Since we think spring has sprung The wildflowers bloomin brightly The garden’s done been plowed The youngen’s runnin barefoot I can here their laughter loud Thank the Good Lord for our Blessings When all is said and done That’s just how it is in old Kentucky Each year when spring has sprung By © Raylene Boggs Used with permission
